What to do in Hong Kong

Loving Hike and Beach, Dragon’s Back has several entrances, the one starting from Chai Wan MTR Station is convenient.

Best time: Morning to avoid the crowed and have lunch in Shek’O

From Chai wan MTR station, Island line

Go to the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery: (about 1,6km from Chai Wan) Easy access from Lin Shing Road. The main entrance of the cemetery is right in front of the stairs you have to climb to reach the entrance of the trail. Once you arrive at the top of the stairs just the asphalt road you will find narrow stairs going up to the forest.

This is the entrance to Hong Kong Trail Section 8.

Once up the stairs, you will see a small park with bench and car park, go on the right, it is a concrete road leading to the dragon’s back entrance. On GoogleMap the name of the road is Hong Kong Trail Sec. 8.

All along the hike you will discover Hong Kong Nature, fauna and flora. Beautiful landscapes, forest and animals. Keep in mind that Hong Kong has some spiders and snakes. Nothing will happen to you if pay attention where you step and watch out where you put your hands. Better to be warn.

The Advantage of the Hike is to fishing with a relaxing swim in Shek’O beach. The end of the hike is on Shek’O road, a bus station is at the end of the path. This is a Mini Green bus. I am not sure of the number but they stop here and bring you to Shek’O Beach for about HKD 10 or if you are motivated you run/walk. It is about 1,2 KM.

Where to Eat in Shek’O?

I love going to this Thai restaurant, very fresh and Yummy food. They have a terrace on the top Floor with a view. If you like Fresh coconuts, this is the place to be.

The name of the restaurant is Happy Garden, there is no specific address, when you are on the main parking/ bust stop and turning back the ocean it is on your right side.
